First, tell us a bit about yourself – who are you and what do you do?

I’m Kasia, a Polish photographer living in Granada. My story with this city began over three years ago. For years, I worked remotely for Polish companies – first in e-learning, then at a creative agency – but deep down, I knew something was missing. Photography had always been there in the background, quietly waiting. Eventually, I realised it was no longer ‘just a hobby’ – it was what made me feel most alive. So I decided to leave my full-time job, take a risk, and fully dedicate myself to photography. Now, I’m building my brand here in beautiful Granada.

How did you end up in Granada? What inspires you about the city as a photographer?

I came to Granada looking for a change of scenery, hoping to escape the cold, grey Polish winter. The plan was to stay just six months… but, as many people say, once you visit Granada, it’s hard to leave. That’s exactly what happened to me.

As a photographer, I find endless inspiration here, from the stunning natural landscapes (I’m a big fan of the mountains!) to the warm, open-hearted people. Granada is full of colour, contrasts, and cultures. It’s a place where life feels vibrant and worth capturing.

What do you enjoy photographing the most? Is there a particular subject or theme that fascinates you?

I’m still exploring different photography themes, but one thing remains constant: people. I started with street photography because I loved capturing everyday moments in creative ways – showing real life beyond the usual tourist spots.

I’m also passionate about mountains and nature, but photographing just landscapes isn’t enough for me. I need people to be part of the story, which is why I enjoy shooting sports events in the mountains.

Finally, I love photographing people, especially women. It’s inspiring and challenging because everyone is unique, and I’m still learning how to capture that individuality.

You have a collaboration with ANDA – tell us more about it. How did it come about? What connects ANDA and your photography? What benefits do you offer to ANDA members?

The collaboration with ANDA came very naturally. I first heard about ANDA as a highly recommended coworking space here in Granada. One day, I felt the need to change my work environment, moving from a small room at home to a brighter, bigger space with people around me. I decided to give ANDA a try, and I absolutely loved it.

It turns out the ANDA team is made up of three amazing women who run the space – women full of passion and entrepreneurship, like the clients I love photographing.

Since our collaboration during the photo sessions went so well and I feel very comfortable at ANDA, I offer a 10% discount on my photo sessions to all ANDA members. Plus, we can use ANDA’s bright and modern coworking spaces as a beautiful backdrop for the shoots.

What kind of projects are you currently working on? What type of photography do you offer?

Currently, I focus mostly on photographing women and small business owners, including teams. My main goal is to help clients feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera, which can be challenging but definitely possible.

I aim to create images that serve two purposes: as beautiful memories of unique moments (lifestyle photography) and as powerful tools for entrepreneurs to build trust and personal branding. That said, I’m always open to exploring new projects and photography styles, as I’m constantly looking to grow and develop my skills.

What are your plans for the future?

My plans for the future are simple: to do more photography, keep learning, and connect with more inspiring people along the way 😊

How can people get in touch with you or see your work?

You can view my portfolio on my website: www.kasiabstudio.com and on Instagram: kasiab.studio, which I hope to grow very soon! 😉 If you have any questions, feel free to reach out by email at kasiabstudio@gmail.com or simply send me a message on Instagram. There’s also a contact form on my website. I’ll be happy to connect and talk about any photography ideas!

And finally, what does photography mean to you, and is there any type of photography you haven’t explored yet but would be open to trying?

Photography is a way for me to see and feel more, to slow down and really observe. I often joke that it’s my form of meditation, especially since traditional meditation is still a challenge for me and my tangled thoughts. But when I have a camera in my hand, time just flows.

As for what I’d like to explore next, definitely documentary photography. I’d love to capture more real, raw, and unrepeatable moments.
